KymunAV early access

Your guide to trying KymunAV

Thank you for helping us. Ten short steps: getting in, finding your way, sending feedback, then a walk through buying, receiving and selling a part. Tell us everything that surprises you, slows you down or reads oddly. That is exactly what we are looking for.

Step 1 of 10 · Before you start

Getting in

  1. Your invitation comes by email from notifications@r3kimun.com, titled Your Test Aviation Trading account. It shows your username.
  2. Press Set your password in it, and choose a password of at least 8 characters.
  3. Sign in at kymunav.r3kimun.com with your username and that password. Bookmark it.

Good to know

  • The link in the invitation works once, and for a limited time.
  • Lost the link, or forgot the password? On the sign-in page, press New here, or forgotten your password?, then Send me a link.
  • Five wrong passwords in a row lock the account for 15 minutes.
  • Two hours without using it signs you out. Sign in again; nothing saved is lost.

Step 2 of 10 · Before you start

Finding your way

  1. You are in Test Aviation Trading, a test company full of sample parts, customers, suppliers and orders. Nothing in it is real, so try anything.
  2. Email the application sends to a customer or supplier, a quote or an order, goes to our own test inbox, never to the company named. Your own invitation and password links are the exception.
  3. The menu is down the left: a column of sections. Click one, then a screen in the panel that opens. The search box at the top (Ctrl+K) finds a screen by name, or a part, order or customer by its number.
  4. Your role, Early access, opens every screen except Users and Roles, which stay greyed out: those are ours.

Please

  • Everyone invited works in the same company, so you will see each other's orders. Look around Company settings, but please leave its values as they are: a change there changes the company for everybody.

Step 3 of 10 · Before you start

Sending feedback

From any screen, in under a minute. Each section of a screen gets a number, so we know exactly which part you mean.

  1. Press Feedback, at the top right of every screen, beside the bell.
  2. Each section of the screen gets a number in its corner, and a panel opens on the right.
  3. Click the number of the section you mean. It turns amber, and its name shows in the panel under About. Click it again to mean the whole page.
  4. If you like, say what it is: Something's wrong, Idea or Question.
  5. Write what you noticed: what you did, what you expected, what happened instead. Short is fine.
  6. A screenshot helps. On Windows press Win+Shift+S and drag over the part of the screen; on a Mac, Cmd+Ctrl+Shift+4. Then click in the panel and press Ctrl+V (Mac: Cmd+V). Or press attach a picture.
  7. Press Send. The panel says Sent as FB-100012: that is its number. Press Send another, or Done.

Good to know

  • Sent with it on its own: your name, the screen and the record you were on, the section's name, the version, and your window's size, text size and theme. Nothing else from the page, and a screenshot only if you add one.
  • The panel stays open while you move between screens. If it covers what you mean, press ← Move to put it on the left.
  • We read every one, and may reply by email.

Step 4 of 10 · Try it

Raise a purchase order

  1. In the menu, Purchasing, then Purchase orders.
  2. Press New order.
  3. Under Supplier and terms, pick a supplier. Fill in what else it asks.
  4. Press Create draft. The order opens.
  5. On its Lines, press Add line: the part, the condition, how many, the price. Save the line.
  6. In Actions, press Issue order.

What to look for

  • Was anything asked that you did not understand, or not asked that you expected?
  • If it refused, did it say clearly what was missing?

Step 5 of 10 · Try it

Put yourself on the inspector roster

In aviation, only people the company has authorized may inspect parts at the dock. KymunAV enforces this: until you are on the roster, it will not record your inspection. Your role lets you add yourself.

  1. In the menu, Quality, then Inspectors.
  2. At the top right of the Inspector roster card, press Add a person.
  3. In the window that opens: Person, choose your own name. On the roster from, leave today's date. Notes, if you like, write "Early access".
  4. Press Add to the roster. Your name appears in the list.
  5. Click your row (it says More at its right end). It opens to show what you may inspect: nothing yet.
  6. Under May inspect: Authorize for, choose Receiving inspection. Leave From as today, Until empty and As an alternate unticked.
  7. Press Authorize. Receiving inspection now shows under May inspect.
  8. Once more: Authorize for, choose Releasing from quarantine, and press Authorize. You need it if you hold a unit in quarantine at the dock and release it afterwards.

What to look for

  • Your name on the roster, with two authorizations under May inspect.
  • A later date in On the roster from or From keeps you off until that day.
  • Skipped this step? Receiving warns you before you save, and refuses with You are not authorized on the inspector roster for receiving inspection. Come back here.
  • The roster also keeps stamps and training records. A real company needs them; this test does not. Look around if you like.

Step 6 of 10 · Try it

Receive it

  1. In the menu, Warehouse, then Receiving. Your order is on Awaiting delivery: click it. (Or, on the order itself, press Receive.)
  2. Receive goods opens. For your line, say what arrived: the serial or lot, the condition, its paperwork, a bin to put it in.
  3. Record the inspection: passed, or held in quarantine. It starts unanswered on purpose: an inspection nobody looked at is not an inspection.
  4. Save it.

What to look for

  • Did the steps follow the way a box is really opened at the dock?
  • Back on the purchase order, does it now say what was received?

Step 7 of 10 · Try it

Check the stock

  1. In the menu, Inventory, then Parts.
  2. Find the part you received, and open it.
  3. On its Stock and sourcing card, the Stock tab.

What to look for

  • Is your unit there, in the bin you gave it, in the condition you received it in?
  • Held in quarantine? It shows as such, and is not offered for sale until released.

Step 8 of 10 · Try it

Open the unit

  1. On the Stock tab, click your unit's row. Its page opens.
  2. Read its condition, its documents and where it came from.
  3. At the right of its heading, press Audit trail: every change to it, by whom and when.

What to look for

  • Could you tell this unit's story from its page alone?

Step 9 of 10 · Try it

Quote it

  1. In the menu, Sales, then Quotes.
  2. Press New quote. Pick a customer.
  3. Add a line for your part: the condition, how many, a price.
  4. Press Mark sent, as if you had given the quote over the phone.

What to look for

  • Did the price it suggested, and the stock it showed, make sense?

Step 10 of 10 · Try it

Sell it

  1. On the sent quote, press Raise the sales order, and answer what it asks.
  2. On the sales order that opens, in Actions, press Confirm.

What to look for

  • Back on the part's Stock tab, is your unit now held for this order, so nobody else can sell it?

The walkthrough stops here, on purpose. Shipping needs Quality to sign the part's ATA 106 and a shipping inspection, which come in the next round.

Thank you

From here, explore anything. Every screen has the Feedback button, and nothing you try can harm a real business.
